Fans across the world have been asking: "where is Laura Lee, and why has she stopped singing?" Well, in the early 80's, I had to stop singing because I became very sick. After an exploratory surgery which took hours, the doctors found cancer in my body. I was placed on radiation until my body couldn't take any more. I became very weak and frail. I had no where to turn. So one day while lying on my bed I turned to God and asked if he would heal my body. I said to him "If you heal me, I will go and do whatever you say. Just tell me what you want from me."

He said, he wanted me to became a prayer warrior and pray for bishops, pastors, and churches, and he would honor my prayers.

I said "Yes" to the will of God. So, I went about doing God's will, still being weak in my body.

One night a warm feeling came over my body. Eventually, the feeling became so hot I couldn't bear it. It was like fire. God spoke to me and said "I've just healed you. There is no more cancer because I have burned the cancer out." I said "Thank you Jesus."

He said "Now go and record God Bless America, and I will bless you." Once again, I was obedient to his will.

For years, I did missionary work with other evangelists, bishops, and pastors. I prayed as instructed. Recently, I toured Africa with Bishop Thomas W. Weeks, Sr. Ministries. Thousands of people were healed, delivered, and set free from bondage. In doing his work, I seldom sang.

In March 2003, God spoke to me and instructed me to go back and sing music of all kinds, whether it be gospel, soul, R&B, or pop, and sing only the truth. With the Lord in my heart and soul, I am on my way to do his will, with hopes I will be received with love, as I was on my last journey.
